He was predeceased by: his parents, Dr. Guy Whitley Moorman and Annie Frances Clower Moorman; his grandson Evan Trandem; and his brother-in-law Ron Dennis. He is survived by: his wife Jeanette Elliott Moorman of Douglas, GA; his children, Dr. Christopher Elliott Moorman (Leslie), Guy Whitley Moorman III (Jennifer) and Allison Fraser Trandem; his grandchildren, Eli Moorman, Jacob Moorman, Caroline Whitaker (Austin), Sam Boatright (Denisa), Lee Moorman, Laurel Moorman, Weston Trandem, Ella Trandem and Owen Trandem; his great grandchildren, Brooks Whitaker, Evie Whitaker, Delanie Whitaker and Iris Boatright; and his siblings, Dr. Tom Moorman (Danelle) and Jane Moorman Dennis. He is also survived by several Nieces, Nephews, Family and Friends.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, March 11th 2026 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Sims Funeral Home (201 N Peterson Ave, Douglas, GA 31533). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, March 12th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the First United Methodist Church - Lakeland (80 W Main St, Lakeland, GA 31635).
