Guadalupe Quiroz ObituaryObituary published on Legacy.com by M.E. Rodriguez Funeral Home on Mar. 17, 2026.Guadalupe "Juan" Quiroz, known affectionately as "Dad," "Grandpa," and "Uncle Juan" to his family, and "Juan," "Hippie," or "Quiroz" to his friends, passed away on Sunday, March 8, 2026, in San Antonio. Born on January 25, 1946, Juan was a man who enjoyed the simple things in life: family, friends, his faith, and a good conversation.Guadalupe dedicated 20 years of honorable service. He was a man of many interests, but he was happiest when things were simple-listening to music or tinkering with a motor. Whether it was playing a game of pool or bingo, taking a trip to "Texas Fiesta," as he liked to call it, enjoying the parade and carnival during Fiesta San Antonio, the Texas beach or celebrating birthdays and holidays with family and friends, he was always making memories along the way.He had a gift for fixing what was broken, using his hands to help others and his heart to steady those around him.He loved a good meal - he was forever on a quest to find the world's greatest burger. He never met a stranger he wouldn't or couldn't talk to, and he truly thrived whenever people gathered together. His greatest pride was always his family. No amount of time could ever feel like enough. The adventures we shared became the memories we will hold onto forever. When it came to family adventures, even Clark Griswold had nothing on our Dad.He didn't just tell stories-he made them. His laugh, his smile, and his spirit will live on in the wild, crazy adventures he created and the many lives he touched.Lord, we thank You for the life of Juan-for his laughter, his kindness, and the love he shared so freely with those around him. Comfort our hearts as we say goodbye, and remind us that the love he gave us will never fade. Grant him eternal rest, and give us peace in knowing he now in Your care. Amen.Memorials may be made to Online condolences can be made at https://www.merodriguez.com/. Funeral arrangements were trusted to M. E.
