Gregory Lee Houston, 64, of Wilburton, Oklahoma, passed away on March 11, 2026, in McAlester, Oklahoma. Born on February 13, 1962, in McAlester to Deroy Elmer Houston and Doris Ellen (Foster) Houston, Greg graduated from Wilburton High School with the Class of 1980. He began his career at Franklin Electric Company in Wilburton in entry-level positions and advanced through dedication and hard work to become a supervisor.

Greg was known for his kind heart and his willingness to help others. A talented handyman, he enjoyed working on projects for family and friends. He loved the outdoors, particularly hunting and fishing, with a special fondness for dove hunting. He was also a devoted follower of OU football and OU softball. For several years he proudly served his community as a member of the West End of Wilburton Fire Department and the Veterans Colony Wilburton Fire Department. A faithful member of First Assembly of God Church in Wilburton, he served as a deacon.

Above all, Greg cherished time with his family. He took great joy in playing Frisbee and tennis ball with his dog, Ella, and treasured every moment spent with his grandchildren.

He is survived by his sons, Justin Bush and wife Samantha, and Dominick Thompson and wife Elizabeth; daughter, Haily Houston and husband Joshua Innis; grandchildren, Carter Houston, Paige Innis, Gemma Innis, and Holden Innis; brother, Kenneth Houston; nephews, Jeremiah Gullifer and Wesley Clark; niece, Hannah Vaughn and Matea Clark; and many other loving family members and friends. Greg was preceded in death by his son, Haden Houston; his parents, Deroy and Doris Houston; maternal grandparents, Dewey A. Foster and Minnie L. (May) Foster; and paternal grandparents, Claude and Elzie Houston. He will be remembered for his strong work ethic, his generous spirit, and his deep love for his family.
