Gregory Allen "Greg" Richmeier

Gregory Allen Richmeier, 67, of Great Bend, Kansas, passed away on March 10, 2026. Born on November 18, 1958, in Hill City to Danny and Virginia (Bell) Richmeier, Greg grew up with a strong work ethic that defined much of his life. He married Lisa K. Stremel on May 5, 1984, in Great Bend, and together they shared 41 devoted years.

Greg earned his plumbing certificate from vocational school and began his career with various oilfield companies, including Chase Well Service. In 2005, he joined the meat department at Wal-Mart, where he worked until his retirement in 2022. A longtime member of St. Rose Catholic Church, he remained rooted in his faith and community throughout his life.

He is survived by his wife, Lisa K. Richmeier; son Bryce Richmeier of Hays; daughter Shayla Richmeier of Hutchinson; sister Brenda Marcus and her husband John of Prairie Village; brothers Fr. Garry Richmeier of Kansas City, Missouri, Steve Richmeier and his wife Betty of Parkville, Missouri, and Danny Richmeier and his significant other Joyce Gates of Jasper, Missouri; and granddaughter Hannah Caton. He was preceded in death by his parents.
