Grant Albert Thompson, age 92, passed away on March 6, 2026, in Layton, Utah. Born on December 10, 1933, in Brigham City, Utah, to Claudy Albert and Zella Jane Price Thompson, he was raised in Nampa, Idaho, and remained an Idaho boy at heart throughout his life. He later lived in Kaysville, West Point, St. George, and Clearfield, Utah. A proud graduate of Nampa High School, Class of 1953, Grant cherished his memories as a Nampa Bulldog.

These years brought him many lifelong friendships that he treasured deeply. He retired as an Air Freight Supervisor from Hill Air Force Base and from the U.S. Air Force Reserve.
Grant married Esther Caley on June 8, 1956, in the Los Angeles California Temple. Their marriage spanned 70 devoted years. A faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, he and Esther served a full-time mission together in Sydney, Australia, from August 1989 to January 1991.
