Newberry, SC
Graham Lindley Brown, 49, of Newberry, husband of Tamitha “Tam” Koon Brown for 24 years, passed away on March 8, 2026 after a long period of declining health.
A Columbia native, Graham was the son of Marshanna King Brown and the late Steven Brown. After graduating from Richland Northeast High School, he attended the University of South Carolina, where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Criminal Justice. His family took great pride in his Gamecock diploma. He grew up at Shandon United Methodist Church in Columbia and, after moving to Newberry, he and Tam worshipped at Epting Memorial United Methodist Church, where Pastor William Hightower offered them deep care and support, even traveling to Charleston during Graham’s hospitalization there.
Graham’s professional life reflected his deep commitment to law enforcement. He served as a police officer, Special Response Team member, and firefighter with the Cayce Department of Public Safety. He also worked as a security officer at Kraft Foods and held several positions in the motorcycle industry.
In addition to his wife and mother, Graham is survived by his brother, Michael Brown (Trez) of Columbia; mother-in-law, Sylvia Koon of the home; sister-in-law, Sandy Dominick (Craig) of Newberry; nieces and nephews, Elise, Clara, and Hugh Brown, Garrett Dominick, Paeton Radford, and Jamie (Alanna) and Zan Borden; and many loving uncles, aunts, and cousins. He was predeceased by his grandparents, John Brown, Mary Adams Brown, David Allen King, Jr., and Sara King.
