Grady Carl Thomas

Grady Carl Thomas, 66, of Cleveland, passed away on Friday, March 6, 2026. Born on January 10, 1960, in Gainesville, Georgia, to the late Grady C. “Rip” Thomas and Aline Mizell, Grady spent his working years in landscaping, nurturing the earth with the same steady care he showed the people around him.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his brother Jerome Pruitt, and his grandmother Ruby Mizell. Grady is survived by his wife, Myra Thomas of Cleveland; his sister, Marlaner Trammel (Melvin); his brothers, Terrance Wilson (Andrea), Dale Pruitt, Garnett Powell, and Tony Thomas; his step-sister, Denise Sosebee; his step-brother, Brian Teasley; his sister-in-law, Bonnie Pruitt; his beloved stepson, Craig Trammel; his aunts, Rev. Debra Slaughter and Magelene Edwards; his uncles, Charles Mizell and James “Fat” Thomas; his brothers-in-law, Fred Dorsey (Winfred) and Sheldon Dorsey (Pamela); a host of nieces and nephews; his dearest friend, Jerry Richardson; and his special cousin, Vern Moore.

Those who knew Grady will remember a man who valued loyalty and quiet strength, leaving behind a large and loving family that will carry his memory with deep affection.
