Grace A. Samay, 78, of Pottsville, died Friday at Lehigh Valley Hospital-Cedar Crest, Allentown.

She was born on November 20, 1947, in Pottsville, she was the daughter of the late George T. and Kathleen Daubert Lord.

Grace was a 1965 graduate of Pottsville Area High School

Grace was employed by the former Miners National Bank, a lunch aide for Pottsville Area School District, and also worked at Way-Mart Grocery Store.

She was a member of St. Patrick Roman Catholic Church, Pottsville.

Grace was preceded in death by her husband, John F. Samay, on June 26, 2023.

Grace lived a life characterized by an unwavering commitment to her family

Grace is survived by her two sons, Matthew Samay and his wife Amy, and Kevin Samay; three grandchildren, Tyler, Riley, and Emersyn; three sisters, Linda Rist, Paula Dewald, and Georgia Thomas, as well as several nieces and nephews.

Service of Remembrance will be held 10AM Wednesday, March 18th at James E. Humphrey Funeral Home, Pottsville, with Rev. Chris Rothharpt and her brother-in-law, Robert Thomas officiating. Family and friends are invited to a visitation from 9AM until the time of services at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville. The family would prefer remembrances in the form of contributions in memory of Grace be made to St. Jude's Children's Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105
