Gordon Rex Warner

September 13, 1923 March 10, 2026

Spanish Fork, UT

Gordon Warner, a devoted husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and great-great-grandfather, passed away peacefully on March 10, 2026. He was reunited with his beloved wife, Deanne Davis Warner.

Gordon was born on September 13, 1923, in Spanish Fork, Utah, to Ezra and Elthear Jex Warner. He met the love of his life, Deanne Davis, in high school, and they married on June 23, 1942. Shortly afterward, he joined the Navy and served in printing operations at San Francisco and Pearl Harbor during the war.

Following his military service, Gordon founded Warner Color Lab in Salt Lake City, later expanding the business to Los Angeles and Santa Barbara, California. He invented a new method for producing color separations used in the printing and newspaper industries, and he sold his methods and equipment to printers and newspapers across the United States and Canada. He also served faithfully in the LDS Church as an Elder, Stake 70, Thistle Branch and Stake Mission President.

Gordon loved the outdoors, particularly fishing and hunting, and cherished time spent with his family. He had a deep love for music and was rarely without a song in his heart or his harmonica in his pocket. He is survived by six of his seven children—Mariely Bleyl, Sheryl Koenig, Rhea Fugal, Paul G. Warner, Glen R. Warner, and Kevin D. Warner—along with 27 grandchildren, 48 great-grandchildren, and 9 great-great-grandchildren. He is also survived by two sisters, Nadine Ericson and Majel Deveraux. He was preceded in death by his wife Deanne, his daughter Loraine, two brothers, and two sisters.
