Gordon Hansen ObituaryObituary published on Legacy.com by Independent Professional Services Mortuary & Crematory - Salt Lake City on Mar. 17, 2026.Gordon J Hansen, 66, of Manila, UT, passed away on March 13th, 2026 after a long and courageous battle with multiple cancers.Gordon was born in Salt Lake City, UT to Dean Gordon Hansen and LaVerle Robbins on September 21, 1959. He held several positions across many industries before settling on owning Clearstar Glass Repair. He was a huge fan of not working for anybody else. Gordon married Lisa (Buxton) Hansen in September 1979. Although they divorced after 30 years, they had all that time to create a beautiful family and a great life for their children.Gordon enjoyed many activities; camping, riding ATVs, concerts, Nascar races, attending basketball and hockey games, riding his Harley, and being with others. He loved doing anything he could do with family or friends.After retirement, Gordon moved from the Murray area to be in Manila full time. He loved Flaming Gorge and had his boat in the water as often as he could. Ashley National Forest was one of his favorite places; he loved the Aspens in the fall. He was blessed to live in such a beautiful area and frequently referred to it as "God's Country".Gordon is survived by his children; Lisa and Ted Hansen, his grandchildren; Lisa's son Asher and Ted's children; Celeste, Brayden, TJ, and Makaeli, as well as his mother, LaVerle Robbins, his sisters; Kay Hansen and LaDean (Phil) Swasey and his sisters' children and grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his Father.Memorial donations may be made to The Huntsman Cancer Institute, or in support of reforestation to the US Forest Service Plant-A-Tree program.The family wishes to extend their gratitude to the dedicated nurses, doctors and surgeons at Huntsman Cancer Institute.To plant trees in memory, please visit the Sympathy Store.
