Gordon D. LittleHead SR

Gordon D. LittleHead Sr., 69, of Wolf Point, Montana, passed away on March 6, 2026. Born on November 28, 1956, in Wolf Point, he was the sixth child of Arnold C. LittleHead Sr. and Elaine (White Hawk) LittleHead Cantrell. Gordon attended school in Wolf Point and Lander, Wyoming. In 1976 he enlisted in the United States Army, serving in Germany until his honorable discharge in 1978.

After returning home, Gordon worked many jobs over the years, including positions with the tribes, the city of Wolf Point, and several years as a seismographer across North Dakota, South Dakota, and Wyoming. He later spent nine years with A&S before joining the post office, where he worked for eighteen years until retiring early for health reasons.

In 1981 he met Dinah, and they married in 1982. Together they raised two sons, Robert and Gordon Jr. Gordon loved fishing, camping, and boating. He took great joy in his first boat, a 1967 Lyman Clayton blue closed-bow, proudly launching it among newer vessels at the marina and racing across the open water. In 1999 he and his sons rebuilt the old boat and traded it for a new 1999 Crestliner. A devoted Green Bay Packers fan, he was especially touched when his sons gave him a share in the Green Bay Packers Shareholders Inc. for Christmas.

Gordon is survived by his wife Dinah, sons Robert and Gordon Jr., and a large extended family including his brothers Alvin (Sandy) LittleHead, Curtis Cantrell, and Arlyn LittleHead, along with many nieces, nephews, grandchildren, and dear friends who will remember him for his quiet strength, love of the outdoors, and the peaceful presence he brought to those around him.
