Glory Leann Weissert, nee Wilson, 63, of Lenzburg, Illinois, passed away at her home on Wednesday, March 11, 2026. Born on February 26, 1963, in Belleville, Illinois, to Edward and Deloris (English) Wilson, Glory was preceded in death by her parents, her brother Edward Wilson, and her nephew David Wilson.

She lived most of her life in New Athens, Illinois, before recently residing in Lenzburg. After graduating from New Athens High School, Glory attended Coiffure School of Cosmetology in Belleville and graduated in 1981. She worked at Regency Salon and Glamour Shots in St. Clair Square Mall before later working at the Belleville Shoe Factory.

Glory found joy in quiet walks with her son’s dog, Tank, and was a devoted fan of the band Poison and 80s rock music. She cherished peaceful car rides and warm summer evenings at the drive-in theater. Above all, she will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, sister, aunt, and dear friend to many.

She is survived by her former spouse, Randy E. Weissert; her son, Randall G. Weissert; her stepdaughter, Jessica Walz; her siblings, Melody Winkelman, Steve (Niecy) Wilson, and sister-in-law Sharon Wilson; nieces and nephews Elizabeth Winkelman, Netta Wilson, Adam Wilson, Bobby Wilson, Matt Wilson, and Benjamin “B.J.” Wilson; great-nieces and great-nephews James Wilson, Robyn Jetton, Becca Wilson, and Zachary Wilson; along with extended family and many beloved friends.
