Rainey Johnson will officiate.Gloria Yvonne Harrison, 100, of Shreveport, Louisiana, passed away peacefully on March 4, 2026.She was born June 17, 1925, in Shreveport to Rex Harrison and Kathleen Elzey Harrison. Yvonne attended Fair Park High School and later graduated from Centenary College, where she finished at the top of her class.Yvonne worked for many years in Shreveport as a division analyst for several oil and gas companies before moving to Houston to continue her career with Pennzoil. Following her retirement, she returned to her hometown of Shreveport.Ever curious about the world around her, Yvonne embraced technology later in life, purchasing her first computer in her 70s. She spent many enjoyable hours researching a wide range of topics, with a particular fascination for the British Royal Family and all their latest news and gossip. She was also a determined bargain hunter who knew the prices of nearly every item in the grocery store and could always recognize a good deal.She was preceded in death by her parents, Rex Harrison and Kathleen Elzey Harrison; her brother, Rex Harrison, Jr.; her nephew, George Harrison; and her niece, Marie Durden.She is survived by her nephew, Clyde Harrison; her niece, Rebecca Kathleen Russell; and many grandnieces and grandnephews.Yvonne will be remembered for her sharp mind, independent spirit, and lifelong curiosity about the world.To plant trees in memory, please visit the Sympathy Store.
