November 16, 1945— February 28, 2026
McCook, NE
Gloria J. Warren passed away on February 28, 2026, at Hillcrest Nursing Home in McCook, Nebraska, surrounded by her loving family. She was 80 years old.
Born at home in McCook on November 16, 1945, to Reuben Dale “Jones” Munsell and Etta Jane (Parsons) Frerichs, Gloria married Ronald Alvin Warren on August 5, 1962, at the Church of God in McCook. Together they raised five children: Kellie, Toby, Corey, Brian, and Brett.
Gloria and Ron built their life in the McCook area, where they were involved in several family businesses, including Warren Electric Company, Warren Satellite Service, and Midway Pilot Car Service. Gloria managed route surveys for numerous transportation companies across the United States and Canada, earning a reputation for her thorough work, attention to detail, and the genuine conversations she shared with people she met along the way. She also worked for Pinpoint Communications for about four years, where she enjoyed her co-workers and the customers she served.
Known for never meeting a stranger, Gloria had a generous heart and a gift for making everyone feel welcome. Her home was a gathering place filled with family, laughter, and warm conversation. She took great pride in her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, happily sharing stories about their lives with everyone she knew. Gloria was baptized as one of Jehovah’s Witnesses on February 3, 1968, and found deep meaning in sharing the Bible’s promise of a life without pain and sorrow. She loved cooking for family and friends around her kitchen table, had a special fondness for dogs that often found their way into her care, and cherished traveling, gardening, and time spent outdoors. She especially treasured family trips, including a memorable cruise celebrating her and Ron’s 50th wedding anniversary, visits to South Dakota, and the annual Memorial Day trips to Quinter, Kansas, with her sister to honor family graves and visit relatives.
Above all, Gloria treasured her roles as daughter, sister, wife, mother, aunt, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend, with her family remaining the center of her life.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Ronald Warren; her parents, Dale and Etta; her brother, Gerald Munsell; and her sister, Shirley Vogel. Also preceding her in death were her nephew, Kenneth Vogel; brother-in-law, Dan Vogel; and nieces, JoEtta and Sharon (John) Barger.
Gloria is survived by her five children and their families: daughter, Kellie (Ron) Soden of McCook and their children, Kimberly (Jodi) Duncan, Kristopher (Andy) Soden, Andrea (Giovanni) Estrada, and Carsyn Craig; son, Toby (Carolyn) Warren of Brighton, Colorado and their son, Harrison; son, Corey (Laura) Warren of Parker, Colorado and their children, Noah and Tara; son, Brian (Amanda) Warren of Culbertson, Nebraska and their children, Evan, Kole, and Leah; and son, Brett (Chelsea) Warren of McCook and their children, Bryanna, Payton (Amerikiss), Natalya (Zach), Everleigh, Parker, Olympia, and Aurelia. She was also blessed with four great-grandchildren: Charlie, Rhett, Esmae, and Greenley. She is further survived by her niece, Mary Forbes and her children, Dustin, Austin (Sarah), Tyler (Joslyn) Forbes, and Schyler (Jessica) Vogel; Charles Barger; Toni (Jeremy) Moore; Jason Barger; Chad Barger; and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews and close friends.
Gloria will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by her family and all who knew her.
