Gloria Hernandez ObituaryObituary published on Legacy.com by Robert Massie Funeral Home - San Angelo on Mar. 16, 2026.Gloria Hernandez, 76, of Big Lake passed away on Sunday, March 15, 2026 at home surrounded by her family.Viewng will be from 12:00 PM - 8:00 PM on Tuesday, March 17, 2026 and from 8:00 AM - 8:00 PM on Wednesday, March 18, 2026 at Robert Massie Funeral Home. The rosary will be at 6:00 PM on Wednesday, March 18, 2026. Mass will be at 11:00 AM on Thursday, March 19, 2026 at St. Margaret of Cortana Catholic Church in Big Lake with father Balachandra Nagipogu, officiating. Burial will follow in Glen Rest Cemetery under the direction of Robert Massie Funeral Home.Mrs. Hernandez was born on April 10, 1949 in Potrero del Llano, Chihuahua, Mexico. Gloria married Manuel Hernandez on August 5, 1964 in Ojinaga, Chihuahua, Mexico. He preceded her in death on November 24, 2016. They moved to Big Lake in November of 1979. She was a homemaker to her husband and their 8 children. She took pride in keeping her hose clean and tidy. Gloria enjoyed talking on the phone, new shoes, and her family. She was loving, caring, kind, humble, and was always sharply dressed.She was preceded in death by her husband; two sons, Armando Hernandez and Manuel Hernandez, Jr.; and a brother, Arturo Rey.Survivors include her six children, Dario Hernandez and wife Araceli, Omar Hernandez and wife Aurelia, Olivia Garcia and husband Juan all of Big Lake; Nereida Morales and husband Eduardo of San Angelo, Humberto Hernandez and Ricardo Hernandez both of Big Lake; six siblings, Ramon Rey, Benjamin Rey, Juan Rey, Celia Jimenez, Fernando Rey, and Juana Valenzuela; 19 grandchildren, Dario Hernandez, Nina Vaquera, Adam Henandez, Omar Hernandez, Norelia Rogers, Michael Garcia, Eduardo L. Garcia, Estevan Garcia, Andrea Mata, Emily Martinez, Angel Hernandez, Briana Chacon, Ervey Quezada, Aaron Morales, and Gisell Hernandez, Galilea Hernandez, Eli Hernandez, Chriatopher Morales, and Rebecca Morales; and 17 great-grandchildren, Nathan Hernandez, Kynsleigh Hernandez, Casey Vaquera, Xandar Vaquera, Lexi Vaquera, Brittleigh Hernandez Arilee Rogers, Aliya Garcia, Alyssa Garcia, Mason Garcia, Mikey Garcia, Marivelle Chacon, Monica Chacon, Mia Chacon, Korvin Hernandez, Scout Morales, and Crew Morales.To plant trees in memory, please visit the Sympathy Store.
