Gloria Putrow
Kenosha, WI
Gloria Putrow, 102, of Kenosha, passed away peacefully on March 7, 2026, at Brookside Care Center. Born in Kenosha on March 11, 1923, she was the daughter of the late Peter and Elena (Bonaretti) Senatore. A lifelong resident of the city, she graduated from Mary D. Bradford High School in 1942 and later from the Milwaukee School of Cosmetology in 1951.
On February 11, 1956, Gloria married Harold Putrow at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Catholic Church. She worked for many years as a beautician at the Orpheum Beauty Shop, and also at the Simmons Mattress Company and the Kenosha Sears & Roebuck coffee shop. A longtime member of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel, she belonged to the Ladies Society. Gloria had a lifelong love of sewing, making many of her own clothes as a young woman. She enjoyed reading romance novels and People magazine, following Hollywood celebrities, dancing to Ricky Martin music, and above all, spending time with friends, neighbors, and family. She and Harold traveled together to Italy, Florida, Hawaii, and California, embracing her belief that one should travel while young and live life to the fullest.
She is survived by her children, Michael (Rose) Putrow and Shelley (Robert) Bohm, both of Mount Pleasant, Wisconsin; her sister-in-law, Nancy Senatore of Kingwood, Texas; three grandchildren, Natalie (Peter) Baldus of Mount Holly, North Carolina, Joseph (Allison Langham) Putrow of Saint Paul, Minnesota, and Alyssa Bohm of Racine, Wisconsin; and two great-grandchildren, Wyatt and Vera Baldus of Mount Holly. She was preceded in death by her husband Harold in 2017, her parents, and her brother Richard Senatore.
