Growing up on the family farm instilled in her a lifelong commitment to hard work, kindness, and caring for others. She attended Morris School and later Viscount School, completing her education through Grade 10.After school, Gloria spent a meaningful period caring for her grandmother before moving to Regina and then Saskatoon, where she worked in a variety of roles over the years. Whether at Safeway, in a photoshop, as a Watkins representative, or as a school bus driver, Gloria brought warmth, connection, and dedication to everything she did.Gloria met the love of her life, Edwin Gusikoski, and the two were married on November 7, 1964. They made their home on Edwin's family homestead, where they raised their children and built a life filled with love, laughter, and the steady comfort of family.Gloria had a remarkable gift for hosting and making everyone feel welcome. She effortlessly prepared incredible meals (often on little to no notice) and her kitchen became the heart of many gatherings. She had a way of making every visitor feel at home. Creating and nurturing family togetherness was one of her greatest joys.Family meant everything to Gloria, her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchild were the joys of her life; wherever they were, she wanted to be. She loved watching her grandchildren in every sport, activity, and milestone. The grandchildren loved spending days/weekends at the farm, where she delighted in the simple joys of everyday life-sharing warm bowls of wonton soup, tending to her garden, and filling the house with the comforting smells of fresh baking. Days at the farm were often spent visiting on the front porch swing, searching for hidden kittens, watching movies with popcorn, or laughing together while hunting the pesky birds that always seemed to return. These small moments, woven together with love, created the cherished memories her family will forever hold close.Gloria's hobbies included travel with the family, puzzles, baking, gardening, canning, crochet, and ceramics.Gloria will be remembered for her strength, generosity, sense of humour, and the unwavering love she showed to her family.
