She was a longtime member of Southeast Christian Church.She was preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Pauline, Mary, Carolyn, and Sarah, and brothers, Artie, Al, and Eddie.Jeanie is survived by her husband of 65 years, Bobby Carby, Sr.; children, Angie Roberts (Charlie), Bobby Carby Jr. (Twila), and Tony Carby (Sheroll); brother, Bobby Childers (BeeGee); grandchildren, Whitney (Travis), Zeb (Amanda), Taylor (Logan), Caleb (Jayde), Alicia (Chris), Trey (Lauren), Caas, Zoe, Tessa, and Maya, and great-grandchildren, Savannah, Gabriel, Izebella, Oliver, Josephine, Theo, Alistair, Eisley, Tele, Conner, Hudson, Elliot, Jackson, Cove, Graham, and Ava.Her funeral service will be at 9:00 a.m. Saturday, March 21, 2026, at Owen Funeral Home, 5317 Dixie Highway, with burial at Louisville Memorial Gardens West.Visitation will be from 2:00 – 8:00 p.m. Friday at Owen Funeral Home.To plant trees in memory, please visit the Sympathy Store.
