Gloria Jean Boerman

Gloria Jean Boerman of Brentwood, Tennessee, passed away on March 11, 2026, in hospice. Born on June 20, 1942, in Zeeland, Michigan, to Jay and Charlotte Van Dam, she graduated from Zeeland High School and built a career as a bookkeeper. She worked for several companies before retiring from Sherwin Williams.

Gloria was remembered as a caring and loving person who devoted much of her time to looking after elderly family members and friends. An avid card player, she also volunteered regularly at Second Reformed Church in Zeeland, where she was a longtime member. She lived in Zeeland for most of her life before moving to Brentwood, Tennessee, in 2018 to be closer to her children and grandchildren.

She is survived by her sons, Steven and his wife Melissa, and Christopher and his wife Helen, along with five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Gloria was preceded in death by her parents, Jay and Charlotte Van Dam. She was laid to rest in Bentheim Cemetery with her family.
