Gloria D. Bennett

Gloria Dean Priest Bennett, 85, of Parish, New York, passed away peacefully at home on March 13, 2026, surrounded by her family.

Born on January 9, 1941, to George Nelson Priest and Doris Eva Ingerson, Gloria grew up in the Parish area and attended APW Central Schools. She devoted herself to her family as a loving mother and homemaker while remaining deeply involved in her community. A lifetime member of the Dugway United Methodist Church, she gave generously of her time to its many functions and activities. She found quiet joy in gardening, reading, and shopping, and cherished traveling with family, especially the moments spent with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She was predeceased by her parents, four brothers, George, Alfred, Edward, and James, and two sisters, June and Joyce.

Gloria is survived by her husband of 67 years, Edward Stanley Bennett; her nine children, Randy Bennett (James Piazza), Rickey Bennett (Jamie), Tammy Bennett, Jackie Bennett, Ted Bennett (Chris), Heidi Phillips (Jeff), Peggy Bennett (Beth Rourke), Michelle Lamanna (Jason), and Craig Bennett (Caterina); 14 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren, two great-great-grandchildren, her brother Ronald Priest, her sister Shirley Cole Shepard, several nieces and nephews, and her special friend and caregiver, Kim Harrington.
