Glenn Koechling ObituaryPublished by Legacy Remembers on Mar. 17, 2026.Glenn W. Koechling, 76, a dedicated dentist and devoted family man, passed away peacefully at his home in Nokomis, Florida, on March 3, 2026. Born and raised in Kenilworth, New Jersey, Glenn pursued higher education at Jacksonville University in Florida and later earned his dental degree from West Virginia University. After completing his training, Glenn returned to his roots in Kenilworth to establish his own dental practice. For forty years, he provided compassionate, skilled care to patients and earned the trust and gratitude from generations of families. Glenn, alongside his wife, Brenda (1954-2009), spent over thirty years living in Essex Fells, New Jersey, where he raised his family, enthusiastically supporting his sons' academic and athletic pursuits - whether designing a tooth decay experiment for a school science fair or building a backyard ice rink for winter hockey. He was embedded in the West Essex community and enjoyed a term serving as a member of the Essex Fells Borough Council.Glenn's love of the ocean began in childhood, when he ventured to the Jersey Shore for fishing trips with his father. In 1987, he purchased a shore house in Mantoloking, New Jersey, where countless cherished memories were made with family and friends each summer. He treasured long walks on the beach alongside his beloved black Labrador retrievers, Mackenzie and Topher, happily immersed himself in the many home projects he loved to undertake, and seized any opportunity to sneak away to the golf course with his two sons.Later in life, Glenn found love again when he married his second wife, Dawn. Together they embraced a new chapter in retirement, spending time in North Carolina and eventually settling in Florida, where they enjoyed coastal living and creating new memories with surrounding family.Glenn approached life with a balanced and lighthearted spirit. He was always ready with an easy laugh and open to new adventures. Glenn was predeceased by his first wife, Brenda Maye Koechling . He is survived by his sons and respective spouses, Brad (Lindsey) and Mark (Jules); his six grandchildren, Tilly, Holden, Cormac, Russell, Clifton, and Maye; and his wife, Dawn Koechling. His legacy lives on in the smiles he created, the family and friendships he nurtured, and the community he served with unwavering dedication. He will be deeply missed and fondly remembered. The family will hold a private celebration of life.
