Glenn Harold Schach Jr.

Glenn Harold Schach Jr., 83, of Coal Center, Pennsylvania, passed away peacefully at home on March 7, 2026, surrounded by his loving family. Born on December 1, 1942, in North Charleroi, Pennsylvania, he was the son of the late Glenn Harold Schach Sr. and Grace Elizabeth Snowden Schach.

He was the beloved husband of Maryann Schach, with whom he shared 59 years of marriage. Glenn was a devoted father to Heidi (Michael) Schach-Furman and Jon Glenn (Kerry) Schach, and a cherished pap to Madison, Jocelyn, and Mason Furman, as well as Grace and Baron Schach.

Glenn found great joy in the passions that defined his life. An avid hunter, he particularly loved bear hunting in Alaska. He also enjoyed jeep racing, flying as a private pilot, and attending polka festivals while proudly embracing his German heritage. Those who knew him will remember the sound of him playing his trumpet along with his favorite songs. He honorably served his country in the United States Air Force from 1960 to 1964, and later graduated from Salem College, where he studied from 1964 to 1968. Above all, Glenn cherished the time spent with family and friends.

He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
