Glenda Sue Preston

Glenda Sue Preston of Magazine, Arkansas, passed away on March 11, 2026. She was born in Booneville, Arkansas on April 5, 1942, to Margie Bell Waldon and Roy Ray Waldon.

Glenda attended Booneville public schools before earning her Bachelor of Science in Education from the University of Central Arkansas. She served as Director of the Day Service Center in Booneville, then taught for many years at Waldron Public Schools and later at Foreman Public School. After retiring, she moved to Mount Ida, Arkansas, where she remained active in volunteer work.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Margie Bell Waldon and Roy Ray Waldon. Glenda is survived by her husband, Gay Preston; her sisters, Linda Brigance and Sharon Townsend; her children, Rick Preston and wife Candice, Randall Preston and wife Francis, Jerry Preston and wife Billie Jean, and Gayla Flynn and husband Carl; nine grandchildren, Daniel Preston, Sarah Preston, Justin Preston, Ashley Tucker, Autumn Konkle, Rachel Reed, Seth Preston, Wade Flynn, and Tyler Flynn; and eight great-grandchildren.
