She is survived by: her children, Mark Mitchell (Katie) of Hickory and Regina Schronce (Ronnie) of Claremont; her brothers, Carroll Kirby and David Kirby; and her grandchildren, Adam Schronce (Sarah), Quinton Mitchell (Cheyenne), Haley Greene (Trent), JD Everett and William Everett.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, March 11th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 10:45 AM at the New Jerusalem Lutheran Church (2120 Startown Rd, Newton, NC 28602). A celebration of life will be held on Wednesday, March 11th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
