Glenda Minikus ObituaryObituary published on Legacy.com by Peterson Chapel – St. Michael on Mar. 9, 2026.August 18, 1948 – March 6, 2026With very heavy hearts, we announce the passing of our beloved Glenda Kay Minikus, who passed away peacefully on March 6, 2026, at the age of 77.Glenda found her greatest comfort and happiness at home, surrounded by the love of her family. She lived a quiet life and appreciated the simple things-her home, her familiar routines, and the people she loved most. In her younger days she had a wonderfully spunky spirit, something we've been reminded of while looking through her old photographs. Mom and Dad shared so many beautiful memories together.Glenda was born on August 18, 1948, in Illinois. She was a devoted wife, mother, aunt, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend. Those closest to her knew a gentle soul and a caring heart. She never sought the spotlight or large gatherings, but she showed her love in quiet, thoughtful, and meaningful ways. She was preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Louise Mohs; her in-laws, Robert and Viola Minikus; and her son, Brandon Minikus. She is lovingly remembered by her devoted husband, Neil Minikus; her children, Jennifer Johnson (Keith) and Jeff Minikus; her grandchildren, Taylor Gherciuc (Serjey), Jenna Schaffer (Jackson), Madison Mattson (Taylor), Megan Minikus, Allison Minikus, Ashley Clarke (Cody), and Paige Minikus; along with many cherished great-grandchildren, extended family members, and dear friends.Funeral services will be held on March 18th. Visitation will begin at 9:00 a.m., followed by the service at 10:00 a.m. Lunch will be held at the St. Michael American Legion following the service. The procession will leave the Legion at 12:30 p.m. and travel to Fort Snelling, Assembly Area 4, for burial at 2:00 p.m.She was a loving wife, mom, grandma, great-grandma, and friend to many. Our hearts are broken, but we are grateful for every memory, every laugh, and every moment we were blessed to share with her. She will be deeply missed, forever loved, and never forgotten. To plant trees in memory, please visit the Sympathy Store.
