Glenda Gale Capps Edens, 77, of Rio Vista, passed away on March 14, 2026, in Fort Worth, Texas. Born on June 6, 1948, in Bowie, Texas, she lived a life defined by deep love, quiet strength, and steadfast devotion to her family.

Glenda possessed a vibrant spirit and a nurturing heart. She had an extraordinary green thumb, coaxing nearly anything to grow in her beloved garden, which became a flourishing sanctuary she cherished. Her joy in gardening was matched by her enthusiasm for travel, as she eagerly explored new places and created lasting memories with those she loved. A gifted cook and gracious host, she welcomed family and friends into her home, where laughter and warmth were constants.

Above all, Glenda was the heart of her family. She worked tirelessly to strengthen bonds and keep everyone connected, leaving behind a legacy of love that will continue through the generations.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Troy Capps and Josephine Capps-Nance; her son, Tim Carlson; her sister, Ava Capps Martin; and her brothers, Darmon Capps and Roy Capps. She is survived by her children, Jill Carlson and Amy Kendrick; her grandchildren, Jennifer Dean, J.J. Kendrick, Hannah Chillinsky, A'lisa Kendrick, Hunter Carlson, and Kaylee Kendrick; five great-grandchildren; her sister, Joyce Capps-Rudolph, and her husband, Jim; brother-in-law, Euel Martin; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and other relatives who will remember her with great affection.
