She was the daughter of the late James Otha Carpenter and Lucy Hurt Carpenter. Glenda loved hunting and traveling, but most of all she cherished her grandchildren. She also loved her job caring for and showing love to the children at Kiddie Corner, where she touched the lives of many families. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Reginald Calhoun, and a grandson, Brodie Spradley. She is survived by her son, Christopher Spradley (Heather) of Land O' Lakes, Florida; and her grandchildren, Jordan Spradley (Cassie), Logan Hair, Shelby Scanlon (Taylor), Cole Spradley (Brianna), and Kenzie Spradley. A service will be held Saturday, March 14, 2026, at 1:00 p.m. in the chapel of Rainey Family Funeral Services. The family will greet friends beginning at 12:30 p.m. until the hour of the service.
