Brown Funeral Home and Crematory - Jacksonville on Mar. 7, 2026.Glenda "Sue" Okelly Burdette, 80, passed away peacefully on March 2, 2026, at her home with her loved ones by her side.Sue was preceded in death by her parents, Mary and Joseph Okelly; her loving husband, Jerry; along with eight brothers and sisters.She is survived by her only living sibling, Jean Mendez; her loving daughters, Tonya White (Jackie) and Tialisa Maxwell (Randy); her son, Bill Henderson; grandchildren, J.J. (Jessica), Jordan, Caila, Christian (Kala), Bill Jr., and Christy; great-grandchildren, Jalen, Jade, Jace, Jacie, Corbin, and Cambri; nephews, Donnie Hughes and Josh Hughes; along with several other nieces, nephews, and friends.Sue loved Jesus and gospel music. She enjoyed working in her yard and spending time with her kids and grandkids.She was a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.Glenda will be remembered for her kind heart, warm spirit, and the love she shared with her family and friends. She touched many lives with her compassion, wisdom, and gentle presence. Those who knew her will always remember her smile, her caring nature, and the way she made others feel welcomed and valued.She leaves behind a legacy of love that will continue through the many family members and friends who cherished her. Her memory will live on in the hearts of all who had the privilege of knowing her. Glenda was deeply loved and will be greatly missed.
