She was born on May 6, 1937, in Raeford, North Carolina.Glenda was preceded in death by her parents, Lillie Ruth Perry and Joe Perry; her brothers, Harold Perry and Bryce Perry; and her beloved grandson, Jeffrey Briones.She is survived by her children: Anna Maria Briones, Christina (Jim) Smith, Michael Briones, and Mark (Terry) Briones. She leaves behind many cherished grandchildren: Nikkie (Scott) Arango, Angela Briones, Tony Briones, Amanda (Matt) Rue, Briana Terrell, Ryan (Breanna) MacPhail, and Rosa Briones. She is also survived by sister Martha (Mike) Faulkner and brother Cole (Judy) Perry. Her legacy also continues through her great-grandchildren: Jeffrey Elswick, Ringo and Mia Arango, Olivia Terrell, Mariana MacPhail, Izzy and Riley Rue.She was lovingly known as "Mom" not only to her own family but also to their many friends. Glenda had a warm, welcoming spirit that made everyone feel like family. She was popular, outgoing, and deeply loved by those who knew her. Her home and heart were always open to others. Glenda was a devoted Christian who accepted Christ while living within the Mormon community, and her faith remained an important part of her life.Throughout her life, Glenda built many meaningful friendships through her work. She retired from the Michigan Municipal League after many wonderful years of service, where she formed lifelong friendships.Glenda will be remembered for her kindness, her welcoming nature, and the love she shared so freely with family and friends.
