He was predeceased by: his parents, Florence Carson and William Carter Carson; and his brother Wayne Carson. He is survived by: his wife Jo Ann; his children, Tammy Scholes (Robert) and Mike Carter Carson; his grandchildren, Brittany, Dylan, Bradin, Jake and Jared; his great grandchild Luka Carter; and his nephews, Jonathan and Jason.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, March 11th 2026 from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Manchester Memorial Funeral Home (28 Schoolhouse Rd, Whiting, NJ 08759). A prayer will be held on Wednesday, March 11th 2026 from 8:30 PM to 9:00 PM at the same location. The military honors will be held on Thursday, March 12th 2026 at 1:00 PM at the Brigadier General William C. Doyle Veteran's Memorial Cemetery (350 Province Line Rd, Wrightstown, NJ 08562).
