Glen A. Hughes

Glen Alan Hughes, 69, of Delmar, Delaware, passed away on March 11, 2026, at TidalHealth Nanticoke in Seaford. Born on August 12, 1956, in Michigan, he graduated from Kenwood High School in Baltimore County, Maryland, in 1975. Glen cherished the outdoors, traveling, fishing, and cooking, but found his greatest joy in spending time with his family.

He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Shirley Ann Hughes (née Smith), who passed away on August 5, 2016, and by his parents, Shirley J. Wheeler Hughes and S/Sgt. Donald Everett Hughes.

Glen is survived by his children: daughter Jessica Hughes Walker and her husband, Joseph Walker III, along with their sons, Joseph IV and Alexander Walker; daughter Gwendolyn Hughes; and son Glen Alan Hughes II. He also leaves behind his sister, Donna Hughes Ensor and her husband, Joseph Ensor; his sister-in-law, Sheila Smith Fisher; several nieces and nephews; and his faithful Maine Coon cat, Obadiah.
