As Glaydes departs from this earthly realm, her essence lingers — a whisper on the wind, a ripple on the water — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of life and death. Though Glaydes may no longer walk beside us, her spirit lives on in the memories and the legacy Glaydes leaves behind.

She was predeceased by: her husband Robert; her parents, Gerald Bright and Louella Bright; her great grandchild J. D. Miller; and her sister-in-law Martie Bright.

She is survived by: her daughters, Judi Miller (Kevin), Joyce Hart (Dave Reeves) and Janice Jedlicka (Tom); and her brother Earnie Bright. She is also survived by 13 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren, and 4 great-great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, March 10th 2026 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Overton Funeral Home (501 W Ashland Ave, Indianola, IA 50125). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, March 11th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the same location. A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, March 11th 2026 at 12:30 PM at the Highpoint Cemetery.
