Though Gladys may no longer walk beside us, her memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Gladys touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In her absence, her spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Wiley Goddin and Bessie Morrison; and her son Lonnie Sapp. She is survived by: her daughters, Vicky Thomas (Phillip) and Becky Murphy; her grandchildren, Katie Hayes (Matthew), Kandice Cole (Vince), Kristan Martin (Jarett), Ethan Donaldson and Madison Donaldson; and her siblings, Cotis Goddin and Joyce Thorne (Michael). She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, extended family.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, March 11th 2026 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Davis-Watkins Funeral Home Chapel (1474 FL-83, Defuniak Springs, FL 32433). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, March 11th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
