Pouchan, age 83, of Royersford, PA, passed away on Sunday, March 1, 2026 at home. Born on December 14, 1942 in Royersford, she was a daughter of the late Harry P. and Stella V. (Renninger) Astheimer.One of six children, she grew up on the family farm on King Road in Royersford. Gladys was a 1960 graduate of Spring-Ford High School. She began her professional career as an administrative assistant at Jones Motor Company in Spring City, followed by positions in the dietary department at Pennhurst State School and Hospital and then at Continental Bank in Ft. Washington. She would then go on to retire at the age of 80, following 25 years of service, from the vaccination department of Merck Pharmaceuticals.A lifelong and faithful member of Grace Lutheran Church in Royersford, Gladys served as a reader and a greeter. She had a green thumb and loved to tend to her garden, and she enjoyed cooking and baking. She was conscientious of her health and enjoyed fitness and working out. She was an avid sports fan, and along with her daughter and son-in-law enjoyed attending and tailgating at Penn State Football games.Gladys is survived by one daughter, Tammi L., wife of Kevin J. Miskiewicz; two siblings, Joan, wife of Joseph Kelley and Charles, husband of the late Cindy Astheimer; and nine nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by three siblings, Doris Astheimer, Paul "Wayne", husband of the late Marge Astheimer, and Marilyn "Jane", wife of the late Ronald Wimmer.Relatives and friends are invited to attend her funeral service at Grace Lutheran Church, Sixth Avenue and Main Street, Royersford, PA on Monday, March 9, 2026 at 11:00 AM. Officiating will be Rev. Leah Woehr-Grande. Burial will be held privately. Friends will be received from 10:00 AM-11:00 AM in the Church on Monday morning. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in her name to Grace Lutheran Church, 594 Church Street, 1st Floor, Royersford, PA 19468.
