Giuseppe Capozzi

Giuseppe Capozzi passed away peacefully, surrounded by his loved ones, on March 10, 2026, at the age of 91.

Born near Benevento, Italy, Giuseppe was the beloved son of Nicola and Carmela Capozzi. In 1972, he immigrated to New York with his wife and small children, following his father and sister in search of a new life. He embraced his adopted home, working hard to build a stable and loving environment for his young family.

A devoted gardener, Giuseppe took great pride in planting a bountiful and meticulously aligned vegetable garden each year. He was especially known for his thriving fig trees and for keeping alive the traditions of his homeland through winemaking, homemade sausage, and many cherished Italian dishes.

Giuseppe is survived by his loving wife of 64 years, Costantina; his daughter Carmelina (Anthony); son Pasqualino; cherished grandchildren Gabriella (Dominick) and Joseph; his sister Antonietta; and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his son Nicolino and his sister Marietta.
