She was predeceased by: her parents, Miles Payne and Daisy Payne; and her sister Shirley "Shay" Hammond. She is survived by: her husband G. T.; her children, George T. Harris IV (Leslie) and Sara Harris Mullins (Kevin); her grandchildren, John-Kevin Mullins II, George T. Harris V (Quentin), Brantley N. Mullins and Jake Spencer Harris; her sister Sarita Mullins; her siblings-in-law, Sara Harris Hanks and Jim Hammond; and her caregivers, Angie Inman Alford and Judy Francis.

A funeral service will be held on Saturday, March 14th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the Green Springs Presbyterian Church (22007 Green Springs Church Rd, Abingdon, VA 24211).
