Ginger Lee Jeffery
January 14, 1937— March 5, 2026
Lorain, OH
Ginger Lee Jeffery, née McNeely, age 89, of Lorain, Ohio and formerly of Holden Beach, North Carolina, passed away on March 5, 2026. Born on January 14, 1937, in Logan County, West Virginia, she was the daughter of Ernest and Stella (née Browning) McNeely.
Ginger married the love of her life, Charles “Chuck” Jeffery, on September 7, 1955. Together they raised two children, Sandra and Chuck Jr., as well as her brother Charlie, whom she lovingly raised as her own. The family lived in Lorain, where Chuck worked at the steel mill. Ginger devoted herself to motherhood, creating a warm and stable home for her children. After her children were grown, she and Chuck moved south to Holden Beach, North Carolina, where she could live near the water she had always loved since her days by Lake Erie.
Ginger found great joy in her creative pursuits, excelling at crocheting, cross-stitching, and pottery, and eagerly trying any new craft that caught her interest. She also cherished country music and attended many concerts throughout her life. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 66 years, Charles “Chuck” Jeffery, her parents, and several siblings.
She is survived by her children, Sandra Cuevas (Dan) of Elyria and Chuck Jr. (Julie) Jeffery of Georgia; her brother Charlie (Lois) McNeely of Lorain; grandchildren Brooke (Ryan) Uehlein, Jennifer (Aaron) Gibbs, Dylan (Erin), Amanda, and Ashley; niece and nephew Stacie (Luis) and Jason (Gee Gee); three great-grandchildren; and many other nieces, nephews, family members, and friends.
