Giles Howard "G.H." Clayton

Giles Howard Clayton, Jr., known affectionately as G.H., died at his home on March 9, 2026, at the age of 62. He was the son of Giles Howard Clayton and Allie Ree Clayton. He was predeceased by two sisters, Peggy Clayton Harris and Alease Clayton.

He is survived by his daughter, Ashley Clayton Davis, and her husband, Kendall, along with his cherished grandsons, Harlan Lee Davis and Waylon Ray Davis. He is also survived by two sisters, Hilda Clayton and Faye Beneville; three brothers, Timmie Clayton, Wayne Clayton, and Bud Clayton; and many nieces and nephews.

Giles was a quiet yet resourceful man and a true jack of all trades. He particularly enjoyed carpentry and took great satisfaction in building things for himself and for those around him. His daughter Ashley was the apple of his eye, and his two grandsons, Harlan and Waylon, were his world. He deeply treasured the time he spent with them.
