Gilberto Perez ObituaryVisit the Triad Cremation & Funeral Service - Greensboro website to view the full obituary.Gilberto Perez lived a life rich in happiness, love, and quiet courage. Known for his willing spirit and the calm strength he brought into every room, his laughter was contagious and his presence a gift to all who knew him.Born to a life of hard work and warm family bonds, Gilberto spent 35 proud years working for Eastman Kodak in Rochester, New York, a place he always called home. After retirement he relocated to Deltona, Florida, and later to Winston Salem, North Carolina, where he continued to embrace life with enthusiasm. An adventurer at heart, Gilberto loved the outdoors: peaceful mornings fishing on calm waters, evenings gathered with family around a campfire, and traveling to explore new places with those he loved. He believed in living life to the fullest and turned every trip and family gathering into a cherished memory. Above all, he was happiest surrounded by family-telling stories, sharing laughter, and creating unforgettable moments.Gilberto is survived by his devoted wife of 57 years, Virginia; his children, Edgardo Perez, Gilberto Perez Jr., and Betsaida Gomez; grandchildren Edgardo Perez Jr., Elise Perez, Michelle M. Perez, Sean M. Perez, Austin J. Gomez, and John M. Gomez; and great granddaughter Adelina. He also leaves loving siblings and a large extended family who will miss him dearly. The Perez family gives profound thanks to Linda Rodriguez, whose extraordinary courage and selflessness changed their lives. On April 24, 2019, Linda donated a kidney to Gilberto-giving the family eight more precious years together. Linda, you are our hero; we will be forever grateful. Gilberto's legacy-of love, laughter, and a life fully lived-will continue in the hearts of all who knew him. May he rest in peace and may his memory always inspire us to live with joy and generosity.Read The Full ObituaryTo plant trees in memory, please visit the Sympathy Store.
