Gerty M. O'Neell

Gerty M. O’Neell, age 63, passed away peacefully on March 6, 2026, in Boston, Massachusetts. Born on September 4, 1962, in Port-au-Prince, she was the beloved daughter of Richard O’Neell and the late AnnMarie O’Neell.

Gerty was known for her kindness, compassion, and unwavering dedication to caring for others. She spent her working life as a caretaker in adult health, where her deeply nurturing spirit brought comfort and dignity to those in her care. Her gentle heart, quiet strength, and generous nature left a lasting impression on everyone she met.

Family was the center of Gerty’s world. She lived by the values of love, resilience, and generosity that she shared freely with those around her. She was preceded in death by her mother, AnnMarie O’Neell, and is survived by her loving father, Richard O’Neell; her cherished sons, Jean-Yves Joseph Jr. and Kevin Joseph; and many extended family members and friends whose lives were touched by her warmth and kindness.

She will be remembered always and forever held in the hearts of those who loved her.
