Gert Evans ObituaryObituary published on Legacy.com by Smith Funeral Home-Keyser Chapel on Mar. 8, 2026.Kimberly Ann "Gert" Evans, 53, of Keyser, WV, died on Friday, March 6, 2026 at her son's home while under the care of WVU Medicine Hospice.Born on May 30, 1972 in Keyser, WV, she was a daughter of Betty Jane (See) Selders of Keyser and the late David Robert Evans. She also was preceded in death by three children, Justin, Chasity and Patrick Evans.Kimberly was a 1990 graduate of Keyser High School and was employed as a home health care worker with WV Choice. Her favorite pastimes were cooking and camping and she loved helping others, often doing without herself to make sure someone else was taken care of.Surviving, in addition to her mother, is her son, Michael Scott Evans of Keyser; three grandchildren, Justin Patrick Evans, Jackson Allyn Evans and Laci Marie Evans and her significant other, Charlie Haines. Also surviving is her brother, David Evans, Jr. of Keyser; her sister, Georgina Burrell of Keyser and two very special friends, Becky Shears and Dawn Bothwell.At Kimberly's request, there will be no visitation or services.The Smith Funeral Home and Crematory, Keyser, is in charge of the arrangements.The family requests that in lieu of flowers, contributions be made to the Smith Funeral Home, 85 S.
