Gerrie Koszarek

Gerrie Koszarek

January 16, 1948 March 3, 2026

Cinnaminson, NJ

Geraldine T. Koszarek, affectionately known as Gerrie, passed away peacefully on March 3, 2026, at her home in Cinnaminson, surrounded by her loving family. She was 78 years old.

Born in Philadelphia to the late Mitchell and Stephanie Zarenkiewicz, Gerrie was raised in the Bridesburg section of the city. In 1979, she became a devoted resident of Cinnaminson, where she built a life centered on family, faith, and community. She worked as an office clerk at Holman Truck Center, forming many lifelong friendships there. A faithful parishioner of St. Charles Borromeo Parish since 1979, she supported numerous church ministries and found special joy in volunteering at the annual St. Charles Carnival, serving one year as chairperson alongside her husband. She also cherished her time with the Simbang Gabi Committee, celebrating faith and friendship within her Filipino community.

Gerrie delighted in life’s simple pleasures. She loved planting flowers, especially her favorite pink roses, hunting for the best deals with her ever-ready coupons, and hosting large family dinners every Christmas Day. Her Christmas tree often stayed up long after the season, as she never wanted the joy to end. She was known for her unbeatable skill at the card game SCAT, her irresistible homemade brownies, and cherished summers spent by the family pool or relaxing on the beach during vacations in Ocean City, New Jersey.

Above all, Gerrie had a heart of gold. She would do anything to help family, friends, neighbors, or strangers in need, and her kindness, generosity, and joyful spirit touched everyone who knew her. She is survived by her husband of 53 years, Tony Koszarek; her children, Tony Koszarek, Jr. and Michele (Frank) Pallante; her grandchildren, Stephanie, Frankie, and Sophia, who lovingly called her GG and Ger-Bear; her brother, Mitchell “Chuck” Zarenkiewicz; and many nieces, nephews, friends, and neighbors.
