Geraldine "Gerry" Yackel

Geraldine "Gerry" Yackel, age 93, of South St. Paul, passed away peacefully on March 9, 2026.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Ken Sr., her son, Chick, and many loving family members. Gerry is survived by her daughter, Barb, and her son, Ken Jr., eight grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren, and many nieces, nephews, loving relatives, and dear friends.

Gerry was full of life and possessed a true zest for living. She was always planning an event or taking care of others, and her energy and kindness touched everyone around her. She was the life of the party and brought laughter and joy wherever she went.

A champion speed skater in her younger years, Gerry carried that same spirit and determination throughout her life. She was a devoted wife and mother and a dear friend to many. Her warmth, generosity, and love for family will be deeply missed and fondly remembered by all who knew her.
