May 9, 1941— February 15, 2026
Lake Havasu City, AZ
Geraldine M. Ross, known affectionately as Jeri, passed away at her home in Lake Havasu City, Arizona, on February 15, 2026, at the age of 84. Born on May 9, 1941, in Pittsfield, Massachusetts, she was the daughter of the late Edward J. and Agnes Kushi McDonald. A 1958 graduate of St. Joseph’s High School, Jeri enjoyed a long and dedicated career as a paralegal, working for more than 40 years at Drennan Law Offices. After retiring, she moved to Lake Havasu City to leave behind the cold winters of the Berkshires.
Jeri possessed a sharp, curious mind and found quiet joy in life’s simple pleasures. She was an avid reader who was rarely without a book close at hand and delighted in playing Scrabble, solving crossword puzzles, and completing Sudoku. She looked forward each year to watching the Academy Awards, eager to share her thoughts on the winners and surprises, and she followed the Kentucky Derby with great interest, drawn to its tradition and pageantry. Travel brought her special happiness, particularly her two cherished trips to Ireland, where she created lasting memories.
She is survived by her daughters, Jennifer (and Chris) Rolando of Lake Havasu City, Arizona, and Samantha Ross (and Rob Lander) of Crestline, California; five grandchildren, Victoria Rolando (and Joe Lomberto) of Lake Havasu City, Nicholas Rolando (and Christopher Metz) of Marlborough, Massachusetts, Jacob (and Madilynn) Rolando of Tucson, Arizona, Leo Lander of Santa Cruz, California, and Jude Lander of Crestline, California; and two great-grandchildren, Emmie and Tyler Gordon of Lake Havasu City. She is also survived by her sisters, Kathleen Herman of Richmond, Rhode Island, Mary Ellen Florczyk of Columbus, Georgia, Stephanie Case of Washington, Massachusetts, and Mary Jo McLaughlin of Danielson, Connecticut; her brother, Matthew McDonald of Ormond Beach, Florida; and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her brother, Michael McDonald.
