She was predeceased by: her parents, Chester Darr and Blanche Darr; her spouse Freddie Cox; her in-laws, Andrew Cox and Dorothy Cox Connors; and her siblings, Everett Darr, Floyd Darr, Dwight Darr, Eldon Darr, Myron Darr, Clyde Darr, Loren Darr, Dale Darr and Maurietta Stone.

She is survived by: her children, Malea Harney (Jack) of South Jacksonville, David Cox (Penny Auner Maly) of South Jacksonville and Darren Cox (Susan) of Colleyville, TX.; her grandchildren, Makenzi Crouse (Gillis) of Ft. Myers, FL, Afton Theobald (Thomas) of Ft. Myers, FL, Payton Gillis (Laryssa) of O'fallon, MO, Tanner Gillis (Emily) of Virden, IL, Lauren Manker (Cox) of Jacksonville, Austin Cox (Lauren) of Jacksonville and Lindley Cox of Colleyville, TX.; her great grandchildren, Avery, Ansley, Chase Crouse, Brooks, Collins Theobald, Emma, Beckhem, Tuscan Gillis, Viola, Fiora Gillis, Jude, Ellie Manker, Charlie Grey, Colson Cox, Madison Allen, Talan, Chloe, Bryant Harney, Gracee, Paislee and Parker Geer; and her grandchildren, Eddie Mason, Michael Tolbert, Michael Rowe, Tyler Brown, Scott Baptist, Eric, Laura Herbst, Katelyn, Zackary Kimble, Nina Baumgartner, Stacy Ratliff, Carly and Connor Stone. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held on Monday, March 16th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Williamson Funeral Home (1405 Lincoln Ave, Jacksonville, IL 62650). A funeral service will be held on Monday, March 16th 2026 at 12:00 PM at the same location.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to the Jacksonville Area Senior Center or The Cystic Fibrosis Foundation.
