Funeral services will be held at 1:00PM March 19, 2026 at the Dryer Funeral Home, Holly, with Pastor Cliff Schroeder officiating. Visitation will be Wednesday, March 18, 2026 from 1:00PM-7:00PM and again on Thursday, from 11AM until time of service. Military Honors will be held at 2:00PM on March 23, 2026 at Great Lakes National Cemetery, Holly. Mr. McKay was born in Highland Park on July 24, 1941 to his parents Donald and Verta (Shepherd) McKay. He enjoyed fishing and wood working. He was a member of the Holly Masonic Lodge #134, Shriners, American Legion and Holly Calvary Church. Surviving are his 3 children; Terry (Marjorie) McKay, Melody (Daly) McKay and Melissa McKay, 7 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren; sister Charlene Brooks (David) Brooks; sister-in-laws, Paula Alber, Kathy (Joe) Sweet, Cheryl Rex, Megan Donigan; brother-in-laws, David Donigan, Michael Donigan, many nieces, nephews. and very close friend Joan Beers. He was preceded in death by his parents, his beloved wife Patricia, son Daniel McKay, granddaughter Amber Lynn McKay; great-grandson James Michael McKay, brothers, Ronnie McKay and Denny McKay.
