Clovis, NM
Gerald L. Sena, age 58, of Clovis, New Mexico, passed away on Friday, March 6, 2026, at Baylor Scott & White Medical Center in Dallas, Texas. Born on October 7, 1967, in Fort Sumner, New Mexico, he was the son of Mariano and Romana Sena. Gerald grew up in Fort Sumner, where he attended school and helped his family run their snack bar, “The Stand.” He worked alongside his father as a carpenter in building construction before establishing his own career, earning deep respect for his tireless work ethic and commitment to excellence.
On August 1, 1998, Gerald married Sarah Koll in Fort Sumner. A devoted family man, he was an avid sports fan who loved watching football and basketball with his loved ones. He took special joy in supporting the Foxes, training many of them in weight lifting and strength conditioning. Gerald found his greatest fulfillment in serving the Lord, spending time in prayer and reading the Bible. He was passionately involved in his sons’ activities and cherished simple pleasures such as sharing banana splits and rocky road ice cream with them at Braum’s.
He is survived by his wife of 27 years, Sarah Sena of Clovis; their two sons, Ezra and Noah; his sister, Dorothy Pacheco (Paul); his brother, Richard Sena (Gloria); and many cousins, nieces, and nephews. Gerald was preceded in death by his parents and three brothers, Tim Sena, Michael Sena, and Sam Sena; three sisters, infant Dorothy Sena, Betty Sena, and Cecilia Sena; and a nephew, Chris Sena.
Gerald will be remembered as a loving husband, caring father and brother, and loyal friend whose faith and quiet strength touched everyone who knew him.
