Gerald "Jerry" Clark

May 20, 1931 March 10, 2026

Fremont, OH

Gerald “Jerry” Clark, 94, passed away March 10, 2026, at Valley View Health Campus in Fremont. He was born on May, 20, 1931, in Shelby, Ohio, to Delbert and Gertrude (Coffey) Clark. Jerry graduated from Shelby High School. Shortly after, he enlisted in the military and was a proud veteran of the United States Navy. After receiving an honorable discharge, he went on to earn a Bachelor’s of Science degree from the Rochester Institute of Technology in Rochester, NY.

As the owner of Clark Associates, Inc., which he started in 1960, Jerry was a dedicated entrepreneur who poured his heart into his business until he was in his 90s. His commitment to his work was only matched by his love for the simple pleasures in life. He enjoyed heading out for breakfast, where he cherished the moments spent with friends and family over a warm meal.

A true testament to his spirited nature, Gerald played tennis well into his 80s, practicing his serve until he was 83. He was also an avid glass collector, and his home was adorned with beautiful pieces that reflected his appreciation for craftsmanship and artistry.

As a man of faith, Jerry was a devoted and long-time member of the First Presbyterian Church in Fremont, now the Fremont Presbyterian Church.

Left to cherish his memory are his children; Garry (Delia) Clark, Diane Bascone (Jeff), and Doris Clark; grandchildren, Sarah, Victoria and Dennis; 3 great-grandchildren; sister, Kathleen Hartz.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Marybelle Clark; second wife, Jean Campbell Clark; children, Dorothy (Willie) Gardner and Debra Clark, and 6 siblings.

Visitation will be held Tuesday, March 17, 2026, from 11:00 AM until 1:00 PM at Herman-Karlovetz Funeral Home & Crematory, 900 North Street, Fremont, Ohio, 43420. Funeral services will begin at the funeral home at 1:00 PM. Burial with military honors will follow at Oakwood Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to donor’s choice.
