Georgia Leigh Adams

Georgia Leigh Adams, daughter of Garth and Donna (Raper) Gross, was born on August 14, 1953, in Storm Lake, Iowa. She spent her childhood years in California, where she attended school and graduated from Leuzinger High School in 1971. She earned an associate degree from Orange County Community College and later lived in Wisconsin, Georgia, and Washington.

Georgia worked as a transcriptionist for Maricopa Integrated Health Services. In 1971 she moved to Spencer, Iowa, and on September 12, 2003, she married Albert “Bert” Adams in Lofland, Nevada. She found joy in cooking, gardening, sewing, reading, traveling, and taking walks, but nothing delighted her more than spending time with her grandchildren and caring for her beloved dog and cat.

Georgia passed away on March 13, 2026, at Spencer Hospital at the age of 72. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Bert, her brother Monte Gross, and her step-son Jason Adams.

She is survived by her two children, Nena Crafton of Spencer, Iowa, and Erik Aaron of Torrance, California; two grandchildren, Daniel (Leslie) Castillo and Chad Aaron; two step-children, Jill (Jeff) Ogburn of Parker, Colorado, and Todd (Brenda) Adams of Rock Island, Illinois; seven step-grandchildren; one great-grandchild, Leo Davis; her brother Mark Gross of Santa Barbara, California; and many other relatives and friends.
