Georgia L. Brislin, 66, of Ashland, Kentucky, passed away on March 13, 2026, at Community Hospice Care Center in Ashland, surrounded by her loving family.
Born on November 27, 1959, in Ashland to the late Lewis and Johnnie Stewart Faulkner, Georgia was a devoted Christian and faithful member of Oakland Avenue Baptist Church in Catlettsburg, where she cherished her church family and the fellowship they shared. A graduate of Paul G. Blazer High School, she proudly served as a majorette and took lasting delight in watching her granddaughters continue that tradition as Tomcat Cheerleaders.
Georgia co-owned River Cities Motors and worked as a title clerk for the Boyd County Clerk’s Office and Toyota of Ashland. She was known for her strong work ethic and dedication. She enjoyed traveling to Gatlinburg, Tennessee, and Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, listening to 1970s music, and most of all, spending time with her family, who meant everything to her.
She was preceded in death by her parents, a son, Steve M. Brislin, and a brother, Lewis Edward Faulkner. She is survived by her loving husband and companion, David Brislin of Ashland; her son, Chris Brislin (Luann) of Ashland; a special cousin, Bonnie Hart of Ashland; sisters-in-law Martha Faulkner of Russell, Kentucky, and Sharon Littlejohn of Ironton, Ohio; and her three beloved granddaughters, Aubrey, Lainey, and Annslee.
